At 9:30 in the morning (CET time) on February 25th the Mobile World Congress will open its doors. Mixing innovation and business, the most important technological convention in Europe returns once again. Barcelona will host this international event that has been a reference in the sector since 1987.

Satya Nadella (Microsoft), Simon Segars (Arm), Mickey Mikitani (Rakuten), Chuck Robbins (Cisco), Jeff Dean (Google), Cher Wang (HTC), Guo Ping (Huawei), and José María Álvarez-Pallete (Telefonica) are just some of the personalities that will take the stage during this four day conference. On the last day, Thursday, February 28th MWC will host an open event at 18:30 focusing on corporate strategic innovation for startups.

According to the Technological Center of Catalonia virtual reality will make a big splash at the event. In this edition, VR will be linked to cultural activities, e-learning and, of course, to video games. Artificial intelligence and data analytics, "will also form part of transversal technology in a large number of products and services," confirmed María Eugenia, scientific director.

MWC organization allows visitors to choose between four different types of passes, with exclusive benefits and access. The basic one is the "Exhibition Pass", with entrance to an area with more than 2,400 exhibitors, access to networking events with ten thousands of attendees, and access to Thursday's conference and partner programs as well.

The rest of the passes increase the visitor experience based on their preferences in the business world. The basic pass costs €799, €2,199 for the silver one, €2,699 for gold, and €4,999 for platinum. The MWC web platform recommends the gold pass, as it is the "option with the greatest value".
